You only have to do 1 at time if it's mixed armour. even then you can speed it up. Unless you have a squad with a different armour save on every model, it should be fine.
Nope, you can't do it like that because you have to do each model individually even if they are the same because you choose one model and roll once for him. If he survives you roll again for him, only moving on when that guy is dead. Rinse and repeat. Wren through this last night with Simon and Mulch during our games.
